Description
The Grandstream GXW4200 Series consists of high-density analog VoIP gateways designed exclusively to connect analog endpoints—such as standard telephones, fax machines, and legacy hospitality systems—to a modern IP-PBX or cloud VoIP network. Unlike the FXO gateways previously discussed which connect to incoming carrier phone lines, the GXW4200 series features FXS (Foreign Exchange Station) ports to provide internal dial tone and power to analog hardware.
- GXW4216 (16 FXS Ports): Features 16 standard RJ11 telephone ports directly on the back panel.
- GXW4224 (24 FXS Ports): Features 24 standard RJ11 telephone ports on the back panel.
- GXW4232 (32 FXS Ports): Features 32 standard RJ11 telephone ports on the back panel.
- GXW4248 (48 FXS Ports): Replaces individual RJ11 ports with two 50-pin Telco/Amphenol connectors. This allows technicians to cleanly punch down all 48 extensions to a 66 or 110 block using standard multi-pair telecom cabling.
- Network Interface: Equipped with a single Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps) auto-sensing RJ45 port.
- SIP Profiles: Supports 4 distinct SIP server profiles per system, allowing you to route different ports to entirely separate VoIP platforms or PBXs.
- Audio & Voice Codecs: Features advanced line echo cancellation (LEC) alongside broad codec support, including G.711, G.723.1, G.726, G.729A/B, and iLBC.
- Advanced Display: Includes a backlit 128×32 pixel graphical LCD screen on the front panel, allowing administrators to check the gateway’s IP address and port status without a computer.
- Loop Length Power: Capable of driving analog dial tones over long distances, supporting cable runs of up to 2 kilometers at 24 AWG wire thickness.
